Roofing and chimney work in Liberty
Liberty Township is a quiet rural township in central Warren County, set between the wooded slopes of Jenny Jump Mountain and the farm valleys to the south. Part of Jenny Jump State Forest lies within the township, and Mountain Lake, a small lake community, is its most densely settled area. Most of the rest is farmland, woods and homes on large lots along winding country roads.
Asset Roofing & Chimney provides roof repair, roof replacement and chimney repair throughout Liberty. We are licensed and insured, based in Cliffside Park in Bergen County, and we serve all of North New Jersey. We specialize in shingle and flat roofing and full chimney service, which suits a township where lakeside homes, farmhouses and wooded-lot houses each bring their own problems. Estimates are free.
Housing in Liberty
Liberty's housing falls into three broad groups. Around Mountain Lake, homes sit close together on small, often sloping lots, and some began as smaller seasonal houses that were later enlarged or winterized. Across the farmland are older farmhouses with steep roofs and brick chimneys. Scattered along the rural roads are 1970s through 2000s colonials, ranches and contemporaries on wooded lots. Asphalt shingle roofs dominate, and wood heat is common.
Weather and exposure
Jenny Jump Mountain and the surrounding forest put many Liberty homes under dense tree canopy, with shade, falling limbs and heavy leaf and needle debris. Homes around Mountain Lake deal with lake moisture and slow-drying roofs. Open farm fields to the south face wind with little shelter. Winters are cold, with sustained snow and freeze-thaw cycling that works on roofs and masonry.
