Roofing and chimney work in South Hackensack
South Hackensack is a small township in the Hackensack River lowlands, just south of Hackensack and near Teterboro Airport. It is largely commercial and industrial: warehouses, distribution and light-manufacturing buildings, offices and trucking facilities, mostly with large flat or low-slope roofs. It also has a modest residential population in smaller single-family and two-family homes.
Asset Roofing & Chimney serves South Hackensack from our base in Cliffside Park. Most of the roofing here is commercial flat roofing, which is one of our specialties, along with shingle repair and replacement on the township's homes and chimney service where houses have masonry chimneys. We are licensed and insured, and estimates are free.
Housing in South Hackensack
Industrial and commercial buildings make up much of the township: one- and two-story warehouses, light-industrial buildings and offices with flat or low-slope roofs, and some with metal roofs. The residential housing is a smaller share, mainly modest single-family and two-family homes, many from the mid-twentieth century, with asphalt shingle or low-slope roofs and brick chimneys.
Weather and exposure
The township is flat, low-lying land near the Hackensack River and the edge of the Meadowlands, with high groundwater and humid conditions. Large flat roofs collect heavy volumes of water in summer storms and carry snow in winter. Open terrain lets wind reach roof edges and rooftop equipment.
